Aaron Pollard

Owner/Operator

My name is Aaron Pollard, and I’ve been involved in the cheerleading industry for nearly 20 years as both an athlete and coach. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to be part of some outstanding programs, including earning 2 National Championships at Shelton State, a National Championship at the University of Alabama, and 3 World Championships with Team USA.

I began coaching as a freshman in college, and that passion has continued to grow ever since. After graduating from the University of Alabama, I returned to Shelton State as an assistant coach and helped lead the team to a National Championship—my first as a coach.

Since graduating and over the past decade, I’ve worked with programs across the country through camps, choreography, and athlete development.
I’m also a coach within the all-star program at Amp Athletics and head coach of the Senior Coed Level 5 team, where we earned the program’s first-ever Summit Championship in 2023.

While I’m extremely passionate about the sport and the athletes I work with, my greatest pride is my family. I’m a husband to my wife, Carly, and a proud father to our daughter, Kennedy and one on the way. Working alongside my wife and raising our daughter in the sport we love is something I’m incredibly grateful for. At Amp Athletics, we are committed to amplifying each athletes potential both on and off the mat, and I firmly believe that if it’s within them, we will bring it out of them.

Carly Pollard

Director/Coach

My name is Carly! My husband, Aaron and I have a little girl Kennedy and a baby on the way! Our world revolves around our family and everything cheer! With nearly two decades of experience in all-star cheerleading, I began competing at age 6 and continued all star cheer through high school (2013), before cheering collegiately at the University of Alabama for four years. (2013-2017). In 2016, I competed as a member of Team USA All Girl, earning a world championship title. Since 2018, I have been coaching at this gym, where I am passionate about developing athletes, fostering a competitive mindset, and helping each individual reach their full potential in this sport!

Anslie Peters

Gym Manager/Coach

Hi! I’m Anslie Peters—though some may also know me as Aaron’s sister! I’m the Gym Director and Manager here at AMP Athletics. I’ve been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Mychal, and we have two amazing little boys who keep life fun and busy.

I’ve spent the past 10 years coaching tumbling, competitive teams, and private lessons, and I absolutely love helping athletes grow in both skill and confidence. I also work with school teams and lead camps during the summer months. One of my proudest moments was being part of AMP Athletics of Dothan’s first-ever Worlds team in 2021.

Richard Watkins

Tumbling Director/Coach

I’ve been cheering and coaching for 23 years. I cheered and graduated from The University of West Georgia winning three UCA Collegiate Championships and placing 7th in partner stunts my senior year.

I have coached and operated gyms at every level with numerous worlds and summit teams both at the D1 and D2 level.

I am currently the Spirit Coordinator and Head Coach at Andrew College.

Rose Luna

Tumbling Instructor/Coach

My name is Rose Luna and I’m originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. I will soon be married to my fiancé, Seth. I started cheerleading when I was 8 years old at a local gym in Dothan, and ever since then it’s been a huge part of my life. I cheered all through middle school while also competing, and from ages 8–19 I was able to compete at every level of the sport. I started coaching at 15 and quickly fell in love with it, and I’ve been coaching ever since. In 2021, I found my home here at AMP Athletics where I competed on Bravehawks for 3 years, was part of the first team from our gym to go to Worlds, and even won Summit in 2023, which was such a surreal moment. I’ve also been coaching classes here since 2021 and worked with TinyHawks for 2 years. I truly love what I do and enjoy seeing the athletes fall in love in with it as well.

Anna Kate Harrison

Tumbling Instructor/Coach

My name is Anna Kate Harrison, and I’m from Opp, Alabama. I cheered in high school, where I won seven national titles, while also competing in all-star cheer with AMP Athletics from middle school through high school, competing at Summit and Worlds. My senior year, I competed with USA Junior All-Girl and won ICU.

After high school, I cheered at UWG for three years, winning two college national titles. During that time, I had the opportunity to travel and coach teams across the country, working with athletes of all backgrounds on cheerleading technique, choreography, and building confidence both on and off the mat.

Lacey Ladner

Tumbling Instructor/Coach

My name is Lacey Ladner, originally from Petal, Mississippi. I was a competitive cheerleader on an AMP Athletics Worlds team from 2012 to 2020. While attending Mississippi State University, I coached at an AMP Athletics gym for two years. After relocating to Dothan, Alabama in May 2024, I began coaching at AMP Athletics in August 2024, where I continue to support athlete development and team success.

Anslie Ellenburg

Front Desk

My name is Anslie Ellenburg I’m a 2024 graduate of Wicksburg High School. I’ve been a dedicated part of the AMP Athletics family for the past four years, serving as the front desk receptionist. I enjoy creating a welcoming environment and helping keep things running smoothly at the gym. Outside of AMP Athletics I also work for a local radio station where I’m able to connect with businesses and the community. In my free time, I love shopping and anything involving animals, especially spending time with my Australian Shepherd, Gus.

Karaline Paulk

Tumbling Instructor

Hi! My name is Karaline Paulk, and I have been an all-star cheerleader for five years. I started cheerleading on my middle school cheer team and later joined AMP Athletics, where I competed on the Bravehawks in 2023 and became a Summit Champion!!

I have been coaching at AMP Athletics since 2023, and it has quickly become something I truly love. Seeing the athletes smile and being proud of themselves about getting a new skill will always make my day!

Derrah McInnis

Tumbling Instructor/Coach

My name is Derrah McInnis and I am from Headland, Al. AMP Athletics has been my home away from home for the past 7 years. I cheered for 6 of those years on Bravehawks, and for the past 2 years I have been coaching. This season, I had the honor to coach the Tinyhawks. Cheerleading has been my passion for as long as I can remember and I am so grateful to be able to share my passion by teaching others!

Rori Gerstner

I am a dedicated coach with over seven years of experience in high school, competitive, and recreational cheer. I also have two years of experience as a gymnastics coach, giving me a strong foundation in technique, safety, and athlete development. I am passionate about helping athletes build confidence, grow their skills, and succeed in a positive, supportive environment.

Sydney Emmett

Tumbling Instructor

I’m a psychology student at Troy University and a lifelong cheerleader with over 16 years of experience, including competing at the collegiate level. I’ve been fortunate enough to win national titles like Summit and Cheersport and place at NCA College Nationals.

Now, I get to give back to the sport I love most by coaching and working with kids, helping them grow not just as athletes but in confidence and teamwork.
